Meet Mr. Stryker

Hello Puppies! Boy, do I have some exciting news for you: Stryker is the newest member of the Mapaw Family! He came home (to Mark's) yesterday and is settling in pretty well. He was found as a stray and was at the SPCA in Conshohocken. Mapaw was called in and he passed evaluation with flying colors. He was a little shy with the bi-peds but plays with us pups quite well! (In fact, I think he likes us better.) I even got to boss him around a little (hehehe). He has taking a shining to Shadow...he thinks she's his girlfriend. Ewww.

He's warming up to playing with toys. Here he is playing with a soccer ball:

He's a handsome guy. A little skinny but Mark won't let him stay thin for long. :) Stryker is very tall. We think he may be mixed with some shephard (?) He's got very long legs and a long face too.

Stryker is starting to find his bark. He sounded a little hoarse at first: we asked him if he wanted a cough drop. He didn't.

He still needs to learn some manners but responds well to correction. We were surprised to see he even knew a few commands: sit, down & paw! We don't have much (any!) background on the guy but he must have been somebody's pup at one point. We think he's a year to year & a half old. Lots of puppy energy!

Here are some more pics of the new guy:

We'll have more info to share as Stryker settles in and becomes more comfortable with everyone.

See how well we all get along! :)

Happy Saturday, Pups!

xoxo

Stryker is stunning! Can we bring him to live with us??? Maybe I'll get to meet him some time at a MaPaw event!

Woo woo, Kelsey Ann

BTW- You would NEVER catch all three of us in the same crate!

Wow, he does have some long legs! Maybe once he gets some weight on him he won't look quite so tall!
I'm glad you all get along so well!

Can't wait to find out how he comes along.

Now that answers the question of how many pups can you fit in a crate.

He is so cute. Mom wishes we had room for one more.

Dear Mark and Lauren,

Stryder (formerly Stryker) is doing great! After a rocky start (minor bite to my son's hand), he is as sweet as can be. Still a baby, I think. He went to the bark park yesterday, and everybody loved him!!

Stop by any time and visit. Thanks to Maaw for giving us such a wonderful young pup.

We know what it's like to have to get along with each other. Youse guys seem to be doing OK. We read about the 4 month old pup that got hit by the car and sent along something we got out of dad's dresser to help out. OBTW, your crate would hold about 1/2 of Shiloh but a whole Abby. Hope y'all are handling the heat OK being Siberian and all.

Hmm beautiful Husky, tho he doesn't seem to be a Shepherd mix. His markings are too clear. Perhaps he is an Alaskan husky mix? But the wide snout and his eyes make me wonder if he has a smidgen of wolf in him. Both of these would explain the tall scrawny look. He's absolutely gorgeous tho. Kinda reminds me of my second husky ^^.
