Chloe ~ Fairest Princess of them All

Hello Puppies! I thought it was about time I introduced myself. I am Chloe ~ the fairest princess of them all. I am also known by my friends as "Chunky Monkey".

Although I have only admired Sammy from afar, Magnum used to live with me and my family before going to his forever home. I must 'fess up, I am sweet on that big guy!

I came into rescue when I was just a little pup. My first mom had to move and called the folks at MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue. My forever mom and dad had just started MaPaw and I was supposed to go up for adoption, but I sure changed those plans before we even got home! I have been welcoming MaPaw fosters for nine years now and I just love every single one of them and take them right under my paw.

Mom and Dad say I am a natural blabber-sibe and that my new job is to tell you about some of the special needs and husky hospice dogs here at MaPaw. Oh, I can't wait! The stories I have to tail will warm your heart! You see, all of us at MaPaw just love the special ones and we have many that must stay with us for the rest of their lifes. That's OK. We have plenty of paws and sibe vibes for them and are more than happy to share our blankies and bones. I am off to play in what is left of the snow, but will sneak back on the 'puter when mom isn't working and dad isn't playing games to tell the tail of Callie... a silly little puppy with seizures we are fighting hard to control. You are just going to love her!

It's Sammy's World....

Hello Puppies! Sammy here. I'm very excited to be helping with the MaPaw blog. Being an only dog, I usually only get to share stories with my mom. She's cool and all, but I do some pretty awesome stuff that the world needs to hear about!
Here's a little update on what's going on in my world:
I am half way through my obedience classes. They are pretty fun, actually! Nicole from Cubby's Canine Castle in Bluebell, PA is my trainer. I go to daycare there too so she and I hang out a lot. I'd recommend it to any puppies in
the area. Dawkin is also in my class so I get to hear about his new family. He likes them a lot and is being a good husky by giving them a hard time in class. He'll have them trained very soon (or should that be the other way around?). Mom says I'm a perfect student when it's just her and me: I get distracted when other pups are around but who wouldn't?! Daycare is a lot of fun, too. They say that I'm "funny" - the good kind of funny, though promise! I led them on a 10 minute chase one day when I got the zoomies in the play area. Hehehe. I'm so fast that everybody has a hard time catching me. It's quite a fun game to play with bi-peds, but they never look very happy until I let them win.
I hope everybody had a great weekend! More of my antics to come! Before I go, if anybody wants to post their own stories on the Mapaw blog, you are WELCOME to. We love to hear about what everydoggy is up to. Email me (or my mom) for more info.

I hope everybody had a grrrrrrreat weekend and I hope to see you at the playdate this Sunday!

xoxo
-Sammy.

Guest Blogger

Hi puppies, I know, I know, it has been a long time since I wrote anything. Sometimes I just cannot keep up with everything I want to do, so I have asked a friend of mine if she could help me out on the blog. The little, brown dog in the foreground here is my friend, Sammy. She was referred through MaPaw when she was looking for a new home. That means she never lived with a MaPaw foster family, but stayed with her first family while MaPaw looked for a new home, then she went directly there. Sammy and her new mom were happy to have found each other, so they decided to volunteer for MaPaw and help some other puppies in need.
When I started fostering Radar I said, Hey, you should meet this other little, brown dog I know, and Sammy came over to my house to play for a while. She liked Radar best because they are both small and quick, so they could play really fast games of chase.
So, in case you were wondering, everyone here is doing fine and we are still fostering Radar. I will catch you up on some details, but in the meantime, welcome Sammy to blogland and hear about some of her adventures.
