MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue

I have said it before and I will say it again - I move slowly. So I am late in responding to Indy's tag, but now I will name 5 things I would put in a time capsule.

1. My couch - It is good for napping, resting, sleeping, and getting belly rubs. Also, it helps me reach the end table from which I can steal paper to chew.

2. Training treats - They are as versatile as my couch. I use training treats to make my mama focus all her attention on me. I do normal, everyday things like walking with Mama and sitting, but she gets much more excited by those things when she has training treats. Plus, they make excellent between meal snacks.

3. Collars & Leashes - It is a two-part tool to get my humans out of the house. A collar & leash helps me get car rides and walks and trips to the pet store. They will also help me get back to Mama and Papa if I ever accidentally wander away from home.

4. Frontline & Heartgard - They keep me safe from fleas, ticks, heartworms, and whatever diseases those parasites may be carrying.

5. Bagels - I love carbs.

I am slow and doofy, so I am also late in responding to Echo's tag to answer a questionaire.

What is your favorite place to sleep?
During the day, I love the end of the couch nearest the kitchen. It is soft and close to the food. At night I like to sleep next to Bailey because he keeps me safe.

Is there a specific trick your humans make you do to get treats?
Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heel, Stand or sometimes a combination of them.

If you could spend an entire day doing anything at all with anyone, what would you do and with whom?
I would go for a hike with my family and a couple foster dogs who have not had such good lives. Who would have guessed Maximus loves swimming? Then we would return home for a beef puff or another delicious snack and a nap.

What is your favorite toy?
Bailey, but most of the time I do not play.

If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?
I would have more time, more space, and more money so I could help a lot more dogs. For every one we save, there are hundreds more waiting at shelters or suffering at the hands of people who do not care for them.

Great answers to your tag questions! I wanted to put my couch in the time capsule too! Good idea about the frontline and heartguard too!

I wish we could save more doggies too. Mom would love to if only it were allowed here! You do a wonderful job for what you do. You should always be proud when save even just one.

Great info about you! We love the swimming pic. It looks like you are off leash (?). I wish I could do that and not have my parents freak out, but they are scaredy cats. :P

Hope you had a fun filled weekend.

Holly - How sad that you are not allowed to save doggies. Some of the rules humans make seem crazy.

Amici - Oh my goodness we most certainly are not off lead! Our brown leather leads just blend with the background. I will say that the Newfy in that picture is off lead because she is a Newfy, but we Huskies are either in a fence or on lead at all times.

Sasha - It will be always be important to have your own spot on the couch.

Kelsey Ann - I was really surprised when he walked right into the deep water and swam around with Ananya. I like to wade, but not really swim.

G&S's Mom - I would love a swimming party!

MayaMarie - I knew you would like to see Maximus. Another post about him is coming soon.
